June 2006 began a new era for Those Balloon People when it became Your Event Specialists or YES - New name, same owners, same great service with new products and new services. Those Balloon People was initially established after returning from schooling in decorating, delivery and special effects using balloons at the International Balloon Arts Convention (IBAC) held in Dallas, TX in 1991. Those Balloon People began providing innovative balloon decor for all occasions. Our designers attended IBAC each year since then, right up to the last one in Anaheim, CA in 2004 in order to improve the quality of the service and designs we give you, our clients.

Two Certified Balloon Artists (CBA) on staff
These individuals have completed a comprehensive certification program so you can expect the highest standards of skill and professionalism. You can trust in our proven expertise for all your decor needs.
For an individual to become a Certified Balloon Artist, the company they work for must first be a member of the Qualatex Balloon Network and Those Balloon People is a charter member of this network. Balloon artists must study for and pass five written exams covering the respective areas of balloon delivery, balloon decorating, balloon arranging and the business of balloons. After all of these written tests, they must take and pass an oral exam given by their peers, as well as a 4 hour practical exam to prove that they are qualified to provide you with the quality professional balloon work you deserve.

Ron "Santa" Levine, CBA/Owner - Actor, Balloon Artist, Confettiologist, Event designer, Magician, Special Effects wizard and voice-over artist. Ron brings over 35 years of experience in design, sales, theater, marketing and over 45 years of FPS (friendly personal service) to the company. His family owned a mom-and-pop hardware store, Central Variety and Hardware, in Albany NY. In this atmosphere, he learned how important you, the customer is. FPS was part of that store's mission statement and it's also an important part of ours. His creativity and imagination has made Those Balloon People International award winners. Now, as Your Event Specialists or YES, Ron's vision and expertise has allowed him to push his designs to the edge, making an event designed by him more memorable for those attending and less stressful for those planning it

Melissa Levine, CBA - While Ron is the main designer of the company, she can keep up with him any time. More importantly, she is the hands of the company. Melissa makes Ron's designs come to life for all to enjoy. Without her, there would be no Your Event Specialists. She is Ron's right and left hands and his rock and support. The company is not Your Event Specialist, but Your Event Specialists since it takes both of them to make it work.

Your Event Specialists is located in historic Dutchess County, NY, a perfect crossroad to many areas. We're less than a two hour drive from NYC; Albany, NY; the Meadowlands area of NJ; Hartford, CT and Scranton, PA. Stewart International Airport is also nearby, enabling us to work our magic for you anywhere in the known universe.

Charter Members of The Qualatex Balloon Network (QBN) Those Balloon People became part of this organization on July 11, 1993 as charter members. The QBN unites those individuals and businesses in the professional balloon industry who use Qualatex products and are dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in balloon decorating, balloon delivery and balloon design.
